The Accounting Clerk will perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. The Accounting Clerk’s responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and entering financial transactions into QuickBooks, processing payroll and reconciling statements. Ultimately, this role will assist the Accounting department to run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Essential Job Functions
Enters/posts financial transactions into QuickBooks.
Reconciles financial statements using databases, spreadsheets and software; checks job codes for accuracy.
Maintains digital and physical financial records.
Distributes, reviews, calculates, and processes payroll time sheets and employment documents; verifies account numbers; maintains payroll records.
Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, and inventories.
Performs a variety of general clerical duties including maintaining files and records, processing payables/checks for outgoing mail.
Manages confidential information
Regular and consistent attendance
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-3 years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and training,
Requires demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications; with high competency in Excel and QuickBooks; preferred payroll experience with general knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures. Must possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.

Management position responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the medical lien billing office to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, attorney, and other customer relations. Requires strong managerial, leadership, and business office skills, including critical thinking and the ability to produce and present detailed billing activity reports.
Duties to include:
Supervise the billing department operations; perform duties such as charge entry, payment posting, reimbursement management, claim submissions, and accounts receivable follow-up
Supervise and train the Medical Billing Specialists, with duties including but not limited to: o Training the Medical Billing Specialists and acting as a resource for staff o Monitoring and evaluating the day to day activities of the Medical Billing Specialists o Allocating work and resolve problems among billing office personnel o Responding to non-routine and difficult medical billing issues when the Medical Billing
Specialists require assistance o Conducting regular meetings with staff o Coordinate time away requests of team members to ensure the daily functions of the department is not negatively affected o Providing back-up and support for the medical billing function when the Specialists are out of the office, unavailable, or is required due to the workload
Creates and revises billing policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements
Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements to include preparing monthly balance sheets, income reports, etc. as required/directed
Carry out audits of current procedures and processes, discover billing operations areas to improve on and takes the necessary actions
Manages projects related to the billing in conjunction with inter- and intra-departmental staff
Performs all other tasks as assigned
At least two years of supervisory or management level experience in medical billing
Ability to plan, assign, supervise and evaluate the work of others, and to monitor goals, objectives, deadlines and priorities
